As a Product Manager for internal AI enabled tools and services, including Copilot for Microsoft 365, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of multiple AI enabled products and services that support colleagues across the organisation. These products are primarily internally facing and focus on improving efficiency, decision making, insight, and ways of working through the responsible use of AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the adoption and optimisation of internal AI and automation tools across MaPS, with a particular focus on Copilot for Microsoft 365 and related workplace technologies.
  • Own the product direction for internally facing AI enabled tools that improve colleague productivity, internal processes, service quality, and organisational efficiency.
  • Use adoption, usage, and outcome data to inform prioritisation, improvement, and lifecycle decisions for internal tools.
  • Work with business teams and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities to embed Microsoft 365 and automation capabilities into day-to-day workflows.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand needs, define problems, manage expectations, and support adoption through training, learning materials, and other enablement activities.
  • Translate user needs, policy constraints, and organisational goals into clear product outcomes, priorities, and evidence-based decisions, working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver value safely and incrementally.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of internal AI enabled tools and services, including analytics, automation, and tools such as Copilot for Microsoft 365.
  • Describe the value of AI enabled products and identify opportunities for reuse, automation, and efficiency across the product lifecycle, from experimentation through to scaling.
  • Ensure AI products are designed and implemented in a way that is safe, ethical, explainable, compliant, and aligned to organisational governance, legal, privacy, and responsible AI requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing products or services within the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Microsoft 365, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or related automation tooling.
  • Experience driving adoption of internal workplace technologies or enterprise platforms, rather than only customer facing digital products.
  • Experience working on products that improve internal processes, colleague productivity, workflow automation, or business operations.
  • Ability to translate business needs into practical product improvements using Microsoft platform capabilities and enterprise tooling.
  • Experience balancing product delivery with governance, security, data protection, and organisational change considerations in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience applying Agile principles and using Agile tools to support team delivery.

Ways of Working:

  • Contribute to the wider product, data, and AI communities of practice.
  • Take an iterative, evidence led approach to product development, using feedback and data to refine decisions over time.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non technical stakeholders, adapting style and level of detail to the audience.

Hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and our headquarters in Bedford will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

Recruitment Process:

  • Initial Review: Our recruiter will review your CV. If it looks like a good fit, they'll reach out to arrange a call.
  • Hiring Manager Review: If the recruiter thinks you're suitable, your CV will be passed to the hiring manager, who will decide whether to invite you for an interview.
  • Interview: If selected, you'll participate in a virtual interview. This single-stage process allows you to demonstrate your skills and experience through competency-based questions. This will also require you to deliver a short presentation.

Where to Advertise Data Science Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise data science jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that actually reach senior and lead data science talent. Data science spans a broad and often misunderstood spectrum — from statistical modelling and experimental design through to machine learning engineering, product analytics and AI research. The strongest candidates identify firmly with specific subdisciplines and are frustrated by adverts that conflate data scientist with data analyst, business intelligence developer or machine learning engineer. General job boards produce high application volumes for data roles but consistently fail to match specialist data science profiles with the right opportunities. This guide, published by DataScienceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise data science roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Data Science Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Data Science Jobs UK 2026: roles, salaries and the trends shaping UK data science hiring over the next three years — from MLE crossover to GenAI workflows. Data science has spent the past decade being described as the sexiest job of the twenty-first century. By 2026, the reality is both more nuanced and more interesting than that label ever suggested. The discipline has matured, fragmented, deepened, and in some respects reinvented itself — and the jobs market has changed with it in ways that create genuine opportunity for those who understand what employers actually want, and genuine difficulty for those still operating on assumptions formed five years ago. The data science jobs market of 2026 is not simply a larger version of what it was three years ago. The generalist data scientist — equally comfortable wrangling data, building models, and presenting insights to the board — is giving way to a more specialised landscape where employers know exactly what problem they are trying to solve and are looking for candidates with the specific depth to solve it. Machine learning engineering, causal inference, experimentation, AI product development, and domain-specific applied science have all emerged as distinct career tracks within what was previously a single, loosely defined profession. At the same time, the arrival of large language models and the broader AI capability wave has both threatened and created data science roles in equal measure. Some of the work that junior data scientists spent their early careers doing — data cleaning, exploratory analysis, basic model building — is being partially automated by AI tooling. But the demand for practitioners who can evaluate AI systems rigorously, apply statistical thinking to complex business problems, and build the data foundations on which AI depends has grown considerably. The candidates who will thrive over the next three years are those who understand where the discipline is heading — which specialisms are attracting the most investment, which technologies are reshaping what data scientists are expected to build and know, and how to position a data science career that will remain valuable as the field continues to evolve around them. This article breaks down what the UK data science jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.
