Role Summary

We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Vice President of Data Strategy to lead the design, development, and execution of our oncology data strategy. This leader will ensure our real-world data assets—enhanced by generative AI—are optimized to create expansive oncology data products for pharmaceutical clients and to fuel the intelligence behind our innovative SaaS and AI solutions.

The VP of Data Strategy will act as the bridge between internal data teams and commercial strategy, working cross-functionally with Data Operations, Data Alliances, Product, and Sales to unlock maximum value from our data ecosystem. Reporting to the GM of Clinical Solutions, this executive will play a critical role in shaping our data roadmap and ensuring that oncology data is a competitive differentiator in the market.

Responsibilities

Data Strategy & Vision

  • Define and drive the company’s oncology data strategy to expand and enrich real-world data assets.
  • Leverage generative AI and advanced analytics to transform raw oncology data into scalable, insight-rich products.
  • Identify opportunities to broaden data coverage and modalities to meet evolving pharma and life sciences needs.

Product & Commercial Alignment

  • Partner with Product to ensure data strategy aligns with product roadmaps and innovation priorities.
  • Collaborate with Sales to position data-driven solutions as key differentiators in pharma partnerships.
  • Shape go-to-market narratives around data capabilities and value creation for pharma clients.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Data Operations to ensure robust data governance, curation, and quality.
  • Collaborate with Data Alliances to identify and integrate new data sources that strengthen our oncology offerings.
  • Ensure seamless integration of data into SaaS and AI solutions, maximizing impact for end users.

Leadership & Thought Partnership

  • Serve as the executive champion for data strategy within Clinical Solutions and across the enterprise.
  • Represent the company externally as a thought leader in oncology data, AI, and real-world evidence.
  • Lead internal alignment on data priorities, ensuring the entire organization is focused on driving value from data assets.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, informatics, business, or related field preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in healthcare or life sciences, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles in data strategy, product, or analytics.
  • Deep expertise in oncology real-world data (clinical, EMR, genomic, or claims) and its application to pharma R&D and commercialization.
  • Proven experience leveraging AI/ML or generative AI to transform data into products and insights.
  • Strong business acumen and track record partnering with Sales and Product teams to deliver client-facing value.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling data assets into commercial products or solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
