Overview

We are looking for a Technical Data Engineer to join the Airbus Technical Data team. This is a transnational organization responsible to produce and deliver all maintenance manuals and documentation for our customers, as well supporting them with any issue during the maintenance operations. The Structures team is responsible for the maintenance instructions (also called Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, ICA) for ATA 57 - Structures cross-programs. Our role is to capture any design change and ensure that the manuals reflect the exact configuration of each delivered aircraft. But it does not stop at the delivery, we support our customers for the whole lifecycle of the aircraft, so a big part of our mission involves daily contact with customers, helping them with their maintenance operations. This is a great opportunity to join the Structures team in Filton who are responsible for providing the technical data maintenance manuals including AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual) to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Support safety for all aircraft programs and ensure customer satisfaction for the growing in service fleet
  • Fully answer to customer s maintenance needs
  • Support the safety and the maintainability of all Airbus aircrafts in operations by delivering high quality documentation
  • Meet the ICA requirements by enabling to deliver 100% of the expected data at ToT and for each MSN delivered by Airbus (EASA regulations)
  • Provide accessible information for aircraft operators, secure completeness and accuracy of all delivered information
  • Support on a daily basis any potential in service issue and be proactive in case of Aircraft On Ground and/or questions raised by any airline
  • Answer On Time to customer queries by securing availability within a dedicated team
  • Contribute to airlines profitability by proposing efficiency enhancement
  • Contribute to future digital initiative developments and enable Services development
How You Will Contribute To The Team
  • Manage all the authoring activities related to the AMM for Structures
  • Management of the source data: planning, technical verification and incorporation
  • Provide answers in the Tech request tool to customer queries and relevant data to meet customer maintenance and operational needs, whilst ensuring that all information is communicated in line with airbus policies, processes and procedures
  • Monitoring and steering of subcontracted maintenance authoring activities
  • Leading and chairing of regular review meetings with Design office and local subcontractors, managing workload and priorities to deliver tasks to Time/Cost /Quality
  • Delivery of documentation content (creations and updates) in accordance with specifications, contractual commitments, approved schedules, quality standards and within budget objectives
  • Securing fulfillment of Safety rules, Quality process and Technical Data guidelines
  • Ensuring Customer efficient support by answering daily customer queries and implementation of documentation changes if necessary
  • Support on daily basis any potential in service issue and be proactive in case of Aircraft On Ground and/or questions raised by any airline
  • Propose continuous improvement for Technical Data processes, documentation production activities and IT Tools
  • Represent the department at decision-making meetings transnationally and provide feedback on customer needs
  • Be able to achieve Quality Authorisation to verify / validate technical data products in accordance with M20528, also known as C1 Incoming Inspection. The jobholder also plays a key role for SIDS33 in terms of continuous improvements for Technical Data processes & tools and for transnational standardization of ways of working. With credits of experience and upon management nomination, the jobholder could extend his responsibilities by taking transverse missions within SID such as Technical Data Customer Interface (TDCI) aiming at coordinating major Technical Data subjects specific to a portfolio of Airlines/Lessors.

  • Previous experience of the AMM
