About the Role

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimising and overseeing the entire supply chain process. You will ensure that our client’s operations run smoothly and efficiently, driving both customer satisfaction and business success. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:

    Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s objectives. Analyze market trends and forecast demand to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws and regulations

  • Supplier Relationship Management:

    Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure the best possible deals. Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Inventory Management:

    Oversee inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Utilise demand planning tools and inventory control techniques to optimise stock levels and reduce waste.

  • Logistics and Distribution:

    Manage logistics operations ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products. Collaborate with logistics partners to streamline distribution processes and reduce transportation costs. Tracking goods from the origination point to delivery in the warehouse.

  • Team Leadership:

    Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative solutions and efficient workflows. Providing training and supervision to employees under you.

  • Risk Management:

    Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    Utilise data analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate insightful reports. Present findings and recommendations to senior management to inform decision-making.

    Key Qualifications

  • Excellent Excel skills, SQL experience a bonus

  • Proven Procurement or Supply Chain Management experience

  • Proven leadership experience with a focus on mentoring/coaching

  • Up to date with the latest trends and regulations

  • Ability to quickly develop product and seasonal knowledge

  • Ability to work independently

    Salary:

  • £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (DOE)

    Hours of work

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00

  • Office based
