Hobson Prior is seeking a Statistician to join our client's vibrant team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will collaborate with various professionals to support research aimed at enhancing cardiovascular health. You will analyze data and apply statistical methods to gain valuable insights. This position requires a solid understanding of statistics and a keen interest in using data to advance health research.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with teams on current research projects and help design new studies.
  • Use statistical methods to analyze data related to heart health.
  • Assist in planning and conducting experiments or studies.
  • Participate in a program that teaches clinicians about research methods.
  • Develop and maintain statistical models for research.
  • Prepare and clean data for analysis.
  • Use statistical software, preferably SAS, for data analysis and visualization.
  • Create reports and presentations to explain findings to non-experts.
  • Keep up with new trends and methods in statistics.
  • Support the use of new data sources and improve data analysis techniques.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field like statistics or epidemiology.
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts.
  • Experience with statistical coding, ideally in SAS, but R or Python is also acceptable.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in publishing research in areas like statistics or clinical research.
  • Ability to work with large health data sets to find patterns that improve health outcomes.
