Job ID: 2813637 | Amazon EU SARL (UK Branch)

The UK Insights and Innovation (I&I) team is looking for an innovative and customer-obsessed Business Intelligence Engineer to define the BIE roadmap on projects which drive early stage thinking for the UK.

Are you somebody that likes to use big data to drive business decisions and improve customer experience? Do you thrive when faced with ambiguity? Do you enjoy creating scalable reporting to support business leaders on diverse topics impacting the UK business? If your answer is yes, join our team! We are the UK Flywheel team, part of UK I&I, an agile product and data team that supports key strategic initiatives, scopes new growth opportunities, and works on “tough-to-solve” problems for the UK business.

Example data solutions include 1) helping Global Store understand where growth opportunities lie and 2) supporting expansion to Ireland and defining new reporting structures for Amazon’s latest store in Europe. Recent analytical projects include an investigation of cross-border channels to reduce unnecessary long-distance shipments when the customer need could be met with a nearby substitute.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer in this team, you will have autonomy in both defining the BIE roadmap and technical decisions. You will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and working across diverse topics. You will collaborate closely with business owners, data engineers and data scientists to build scalable data solutions and analytical insights. You will be comfortable evaluating business requirements and proposing data solutions to solve business needs. As a successful candidate, you will be able to interact with business stakeholders to collaborate on business requirements and project outcomes as well as technical stakeholders, setting tech requirements for the engineering team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  2. Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  3. Experience with SQL
  4. Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
