About the Data Analytics Team
The role sits within the Data Analytic team which comprise of more than 20 data analysts working across CDP to deliver a series or innovative data products and data analytical services for internal and external stakeholders including Capital Markets, Cities, States and Regions and Supply Chain clients. Along with the team, you will help develop and deliver exciting and impactful insights projects as well as support day-to-day operations via servicing of ad-hoc requests from across the organisation.
In this role you will work closely with stakeholders from across the organization including finance, marketing, comms, commercial, operations and technology to develop and operationalise impactful metrics and insights. The Business Insights Squad consist of three data analysts reporting directly to the Squad Lead. You will be applying your leadership skills alongside your technical competencies to orchestrate and operationalise single source of truth self-service metrics and KPI solutions. A proven ability to work with and manage multiple stakeholders and projects at once as well as stellar communication skills will be key to succeeding in this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the Data Analytics - Business Intelligence squad.
- Create impactful data visuals and insights using Power BI.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define, prioritise and manage insights requirements.
- Develop cloud-based scripts and pipelines using SQL, PySpark & Notebooks.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of data feeding into the metrics, KPIs and dashboards.
- Keep overview of skills and areas for improvement across squad and wider Data Analytics team and ensure appropriate allocation of work.
- Provide clear growth and development trajectories to direct reports.
- Plan/manage features and the backlog.
We would like to see the following skills and experience:
- At least 4-5 years of applied experience providing high impact data analytics and business insights.
- 3+ years of experience in a lead role as well as proven exemplary people and project management skills.
- Expert data visualisation skills and experience working with PowerBI or similar BI tools.
- Experience working with cloud computing in Azure or similar platforms.
- Advanced coding capabilities in SQL, Python, PySpark and Notebooks.
- Proven experience managing stakeholders and building effective working relationships with peers across an organisation.
- Applied experience with CRM tools and marketing automation tools.
- Capable of working collaboratively with Git and DevOps
- Proven experience with agile project/product management is desirable.
- Impeccable communication skills in English – to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- A team player mentality is essential.
- A background working with customer segmentation is considered a big plus.
- Great attention to detail and commitment to achieving high standards is essential.
This is a permanent, full-time role based at the CDP office in London reporting to the Head of Data Analytics.
Salary and benefits: £62,000-70,000 per annum, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous non-contributory pension provision, Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and other benefits.
