Are you a SQL specialist with the ability to drive data migration, mapping, and SQL Server database development projects?


A leading software company based in Bristol are looking for someone to manage and develop SQL Server Platforms to help deliver their award winning product to a diverse range of clients.


Role Overview:

As a SQL Specialist, you will manage SQL-based data migrations, map data across systems, and develop SQL Server platforms to meet expanding client needs. Your work will ensure accurate data transformations and database performance, contributing to long-term platform improvements.


Key Responsibilities:


Data Migration & Mapping:

  • Plan and execute SQL-based data migrations and develop detailed data mappings for seamless integration.
  • Create and manage ETL processes to validate, transform, and transfer data accurately.
  • Troubleshoot data migration issues, maintaining data quality and consistency.


Database Development & Optimization:

  • Build and maintain SQL Server databases, developing efficient queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Optimise performance through query tuning and indexing to support high availability.


Database Design & Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Design and implement database schemas, indexing strategies, and data architecture for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data requirements are met, providing clear updates and documentation.


Requirements:

  • Proven SQL development experience, with a focus on data migrations, data mapping, and SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server tools, including T-SQL, SSIS, and performance optimization.
  • Strong skills in data migration, ETL, and mapping processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and enhance database performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
