About the Role

Working with the Head of Enterprise Data Architecture and Engineering (EDAE), the Solution Architect – Data Architecture & Engineering will be responsible for designing and delivering robust data solutions that support analytics, AI, and business intelligence initiatives. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams across IT and business domains, ensuring data strategies align with enterprise objectives and industry standard methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture solutions.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data models, reference architectures, and governance frameworks.
• Represent the EDAE team in Demand Review and Prioritisation meetings.
• Collaborate with IT engineering teams across ERP, Commercial, and Lab Systems to guide data pipeline, warehouse, and lakehouse implementations.
• Evaluate and recommend data technologies, platforms, and tools to enhance enterprise data capabilities.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standard processes are embedded within the architecture.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and innovations in data architecture.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Strong preference for experience with Snowflake, DBT, and Python.
• Proven experience in data architecture, solution design, or a similar role within enterprise environments.
• Expertise in cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Strong knowledge of modern data architectures (Data Mesh, Data Lakehouse).
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Graph DBs) and data integration tools.
• Ability to conceptualise complex data ecosystems across different systems and processes.
