Job Title:Solutions Architect (Data Analytics) - Pre-sales, RFP creation

Location:Glasgow (3 days/week onsite)

Duration:Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Bring 16-18+ years of experience in DWBI, Big Data, Cloud Technologies.
  • Have implementation and hands-on experience with at least two cloud platforms among Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Big Data processing services like Apache Spark, Beam, or equivalents on hyperscalers.
  • Be familiar with technologies such as BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, Pub/Sub, Kinesis, Kafka, Dataflow, Airflow, ADF.
  • Demonstrate excellent consulting skills and ability to design solutions and contribute to RFP responses.
  • Serve as the SPOC for all technical discussions within industry groups.
  • Show strong design skills and entrepreneurship to lead client solutions.
  • Define monitoring, alerting, deployment strategies for various services.
  • Provide solutions ensuring resiliency, failover, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Terraform, StackDriver is a plus.
  • Design and implement effective database solutions and models.
  • Evaluate client operations to determine database structural needs.
  • Articulate and write POVs on technologies.
  • Recommend improvements for database systems.
  • Ensure compliance of data implementation with regulations.
  • Install and organize information systems for functionality.
  • Prepare database design and architecture reports.
  • Oversee data migration from legacy systems.
  • Train staff and provide support for system issues.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of database structures and data mining.
  • Understanding of systems development lifecycle, project management, design, and testing.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and database administration.
  • Experience with data management, reporting technologies, NoSQL, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to lead and mentor architects.
  • Mandatory skills include experience with at least two hyperscalers and technologies like GCP, AWS, Azure, Spark, Beam, Dataflow, Kafka, Databricks, Jenkins, Terraform.
