Solutions Architect – IoT, OT & Cloud Integration

North West based (hybrid working)

Up to £85,000 + 20% pension + up to 20% bonus + excellent benefits

You will be working for an established business providing a vital daily service to millions of people across the UK. They are embarking on a major technology transformation implementing the latest tech solutions with a focus on driving scalability, performance and improving customer experience.

We’re looking for an experienced Solutions Architect with expertise in IoT, Operational Technology (OT), and secure data integration to join our team. This role will play a key part in designing and implementing secure, scalable architectures that connect field-based technology with core business systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement secure data transfer solutions from IoT/OT devices to cloud-based databases and data warehouses.
  2. Develop robust architectural designs, standards, and best practices.
  3. Create detailed architectural documentation using TOGAF and ArchiMate.
  4. Work closely with vendors to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
  5. Engage with stakeholders to align architectural decisions with business objectives.

Desired Experience:

  1. Strong background in IoT, OT, and integrating field-based technology with enterprise systems.
  2. Experience in designing the transfer of IoT/OT data securely.
  3. Familiarity with cloud-based databases and data warehouses.
  4. Knowledge of TOGAF and ArchiMate for architectural design and documentation.
  5. Proven ability to manage vendors and engage stakeholders effectively.
