Job Title: Solution Architect - Data Integration (Telco)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of data integration solutions within our telco environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless data flow between our systems of record, specifically Sonalake SwitchedOn Fibre and Salesforce, and our data lake, Azure Synaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture Design:Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture for our telco systems of record, focusing on data flows, data quality, and data governance.
• Identify and analyze data sources, target systems, and data transformation requirements.
• Design data integration patterns and strategies, including ETL/ELT processes, data synchronization, and data replication.
• Integration Solution Design:Define the technical architecture for data integration solutions, including data pipelines, APIs, and data services.
• Select and implement appropriate data integration tools and technologies, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other relevant tools.
• Design and develop data integration pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from source systems into the data lake.
• Data Quality and Governance:Establish and enforce data quality standards and guidelines.
• Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Define data governance policies and procedures to manage data access, security, and privacy.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:Collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, explaining complex technical concepts in clear and concise terms.
• Problem-Solving and Innovation:Identify and resolve complex data integration challenges, including data inconsistencies, performance bottlenecks, and data security risks.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data integration technologies and industry trends.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in the telecommunications industry, with a deep understanding of telco systems of record, such as Sonalake SwitchedOn Fibre and Salesforce.
• Strong knowledge of data integration principles, methodologies, and tools, including ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data lakes.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synaps Analytics, and other cloud-based data integration technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience with data virtualization and API management.
• Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
• Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or related fields.
