The Data, Analytics and AI Architecture Team is on a mission; empowering ASOS to be the best it can be by driving sustainable competitive advantage through innovative use of data, information and insights.

The role is within a collaborative team that works across the broad data analytics and AI estate. This provides the opportunity to work with both traditional and modern approaches and technologies, ranging from end-user reporting to AI and ML.

What you will be doing:

  1. Collaborate with the Data, Analytics and AI Architecture Team to shape and evolve the existing strategy and architecture to meet changing business demands.
  2. Provide architecture leadership, assurance, and direction to analytics implementation teams.
  3. Work with multidisciplinary teams inside and outside of ASOS Tech to understand data requirements across the ASOS estate.
  4. Engage with the wider architecture community to improve data analytics awareness.
  5. Help evolve a centre of excellence to support the delivery of world-class software by continually improving capabilities.

QualificationsWho we'd like to meet:

  • Experienced Architect with a strong focus on Data Analytics, eager to innovate in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of big data implementations and related challenges.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based solutions.
  • Proficiency with Azure data technologies such as SQL Data Warehouse/Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake, and Analysis Services.
  • Experience with Apache Spark and/or Databricks.
  • Skills in MicroStrategy, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms.
