We are seeking a Senior Staff Product Analyst who is a highly analytical problem solver with strong technical experience in data concepts, systems, and techniques. You will play a crucial role in shaping the product roadmap by collaborating with product, engineering, and design stakeholders to propose and conduct in-depth quantitative analysis of key user behaviors, operational metrics, and business trends. Therefore, we are looking for someone proficient in data analysis and who will demonstrate a deep curiosity about our products, customers, and business.

This position involves working with large datasets, using various analytical tools and techniques, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address business challenges and opportunities. 

This role will also be a thought leader that promotes a data-driven culture and maturity. You will consult with Product Managers to develop their data skills and with the wider data community within WP Engine to drive the adoption of mature data lifecycle practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate and Influence

Translate the technical aspects of quantitative analysis and metrics into actionable insights that can inform decision-making.

Create intuitive and compelling data visualization to allow stakeholders to self-serve data. 

Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify product gaps and evangelize data insights to influence the product roadmap. 

Create and deliver compelling dashboards with visualization, and writing the document to explain the analysis, and providing insights.

Effectively communicate complex analysis to a variety of stakeholders (e.g. executives, team leads, technical stakeholders, non-technical stakeholders), adapting communication approach to each audience. 

Manage competing priorities in a complex work environment, focusing on high-value activities

Effectively communicate priorities, updates and resolutions. 

Evangelize data-driven culture with the Product organization, and practices that drive data maturity hoilistically.

Development and Creation 

Utilize advanced SQL skills to write complex queries from scratch from multiple tables, creating the appropriate joins, extracting and manipulating data, formatting fields, creating new measures and metrics, etc.

Use visualization tools (Looker, LookerStudio) to create interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports. 

Collaborate with technical data owners to identify data gaps and how to fill them to meet product analysis needs.

When needed, hands-on create and contribute to primary analytical models and ETL pipelines.

Your Skills and Expertise:

5+ years working in Product Analytics, Business Intelligence or Analytics Engineering environment.

Advanced SQL skills are a must. Live coding session part of interview process. 

Experience with data warehousing, modeling, and mining.

Understanding of how SDLC applies to data.

Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) and Python. 

Experience with Google BigQuery. 

Extensive experience with Looker, LookerStudio.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong project management skills to organise, prioritize and deliver the highest priority analysis. 

Ability to collaborate with distributed data teams across the organization. 

Ability to set expectations with executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Advanced analytics techniques to develop predictive, prescriptive, and classification models

Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Segment.io as data sources

Experience creating analytical frameworks for product experimentation.
