Role Overview

This role is integral to the business and responsible for supporting the Cboe Europe Derivatives Exchange (CEDX) in its ambitious growth plans to enhance market structure, improve market depth and pricing quality across the European landscape.

CEDX is a small, hardworking and dedicated team, under the much broader and esteemed umbrella of Cboe Global derivatives, where no task is too big or too small.

The individual will provide critical thinking based upon a thorough analysis of exchange traded derivative products including, but not limited to market structure and optimal pricing and incentive programme design. The individual will be proficient in data research and analytics and will be tasked with executing the long-term strategic objectives of Cboe Europe’s Derivatives business.

In this role, some of the core responsibilities will include:

Establish and enhance key client metrics for use by Cboe Sales & Coverage teams.

Assist with monitoring of customer trends, the competitive landscape and regulatory developments to ensure ongoing competitiveness and effectiveness of Cboe’s pricing and offerings. Identify opportunities and develop adaptive responses proactively.

Support Sales, Account Coverage, and Business Leaders within the Derivatives team with internal and external, regular and ad-hoc analysis.

Obtain a thorough understanding of the Product lifecycle and assist with the management of CEDX Product initiatives working closely with Technology, Product Management, Market Structure, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Market Data, Cboe Labs and Operations.

Work with senior members of the Derivatives team in creating analysis that helps establish client and option business line metrics to drive strategic product development of CEDX.

Assist the Sales team in preparing for client meetings and follow-ups.

Develop knowledge of Cboe technology, including but not limited to connectivity, order types, routing strategies in an effort to support and identify needs of member firms and prospective members.

Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate has:

Bachelor degree or equivalent with a combination of education and experience in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

2+ years experience in Derivatives preferably with a solid understanding of the European Listed Derivatives landscape.

Ability to create insightful analysis and strength of character to present it to a senior audience to drive decision making.

Must possess strong analytical, quantitative and research skills

Outstanding interpersonal skills and communication skills both written and verbal.

Self-starter with the ability to multi-task effectively and independently within a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and presentation skills.

Highly proficient in MS 365 suite, SQL and programming (e.g. Python).
