Senior Project Controls Data Analyst (Position: 227CMR) – Full-time, Remote.


Immediate start. Salary: £Competitive. Location: 2 days Remote / 3 days Birmingham.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage robust data models and interactive dashboards delivering actionable insights.
  • Analyse and document project control processes with a focus on digital transformation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead periodic and ad‑hoc reporting, ensuring accuracy and clarity in monthly project review packs.
  • Support the Project Controls Lead in managing the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and reporting KPIs across time, cost, risk, change, and quality.
  • Help implement performance measurement systems such as Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Integrate data across schedule, cost, scope, quality, change, and risk for a full picture of project health.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices across the wider Project Controls community.

Essential Qualifications

  • Lead teams of analysts and collaborate on data.
  • Experience on multi‑million‑pound contracts within large‑scale infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong Power Query and DAX skills for transforming and analysing large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for developing interactive dashboards and visual reports.
  • Advanced Excel with complex formulas, pivot tables, and automation.
  • Experience in project controls and understanding of schedule, cost, and risk management principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and communicate with senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and experience in transport, energy, or major infrastructure sectors.
