We are seeking highly experienced and accomplished Business Data Modellers to join our rapidly growing Data Architecture practice. As a Manager or Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing data models for our diverse portfolio of clients across Financial Services. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, translating business requirements into robust and scalable data models.


Your role

We are seeking experienced Data Modellers to collaborate with clients and internal Deloitte teams, designing and implementing data models that drive significant business outcomes. You will play a key role in delivering large, complex data initiatives across multiple functional groups within a fast-paced environment.


In this role, you will be expected to:



  • Lead and deliver data modelling projects: You will lead and manage teams, overseeing all aspects of the data modelling lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis to design, and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain data models: You will create and maintain high-quality data models using various methodologies (e.g., dimensional modelling, data vault, entity-relationship modelling), ensuring alignment with business needs and technical architecture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: You will work closely with business stakeholders and cross functional project teams (e.g., business analysts, data engineers, architects, testers) to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide thought leadership: You will contribute to the development of innovative data solutions, sharing your expertise and best practices with clients and colleagues.
  • Mentor junior team members: You will guide and mentor junior consultants, fostering their professional development and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Contribute to proposal development: You will participate in the development of proposals for new business opportunities, showcasing your expertise and understanding of client needs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends: You will continuously learn and adapt to the ever-evolving landscape of data technologies and methodologies.

Connect to your skills and professional experience

  • Strong business acumen in Financial Services industry (with experience in one or more sectors incl. Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance or Asset Management) and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience in developing and delivering presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Strong understanding of various data modelling methodologies (e.g., dimensional modelling, data vault).
  • Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure).
  • Proficiency in SQL and data modelling tools (e.g., Erwin, Power Designer).
  • Understanding of data governance principles and best practices, including data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.
