AsSenior Manager, Data Architectureat our Global Office, you are part of a team that brings the legend of Belmond to life. By strategically designing, developing and implementing data models for enterprise-level applications and systems, you will ensure that they are architected throughout the conceptual, logical, business and application layers. Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Strategy and Planning: develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards working closely with the System Architect, Data Science and BI teams to design data map journey and integration flows. Through short-term tactical solutions and achievement of longer term objectives in the overall data management roadmap, you will establish the processes for identification, collection and use of corporate metadata.
- Acquisition and Development:Ensure success in rolling out enterprise-level application rollouts, liaising with vendors to select the services that best meet company goals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge with new and emerging technologies for data management and optimisation.
- Operational Management:Develop and implement robust data management methodologies and standards to ensure adequate governance, frameworks and data quality across the organisation. By collaborating with stakeholders including project managers and business unit leaders, you will coach, train and lead operational excellence in data management through integrations and troubleshooting.
- Data Governance: Act as the responsible individual for data governance across the organisation by developing and implementing a framework that ensures a high level of data quality, data security and compliance. You will oversee the Data Governance Committee to ensure proper stewardship and adherence to policies as well as monitoring and reporting on data governance metrices.

- The role is generally able to benefit from our current hybrid working policy where team members are expected to attend the office on their Team Day plus two additional days (i.e. 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remotely).

Wogan House is currently undergoing comprehensive renovations with brand-new fitted office space under the management of a leading co-working space and property management company.
Requirements
What you bring:
- You will have a degree (or an equivalent level of experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
- 5 years’ experience in implementing enterprise data management processes, procedures and decision support.
- Demonstrable experience and expertise in data and information system life cycle methodologies.
- Solid experience with database platforms.
- Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modelling and business requirements gathering and analysis.
- An understanding of web services such as REST, and SOAP.
- A proven ability to work with complex multi-source data integration environments, including understanding of API design/management.
- Hands-on experience with modern ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, BI platforms (such as Tableau or Power BI), and data warehouse solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Dataform, Big Query, and data pipelines.
- An understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations.
- Strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles and practices.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the hospitality industry processes and procedures.
- An ability to manage data and metadata migration.
- Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Solid leadership and organisational skills with analytical and problem-solving being a key strength.
