Our client is a progressive organisation dedicated to providing quality services to the community and is looking for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join their team for a fixed-term, 12-month maternity cover.Position Overview:Location: Norfolk (Hybrid working)Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (1 year)Salary Range: £31,617 - £35,682About the Role:As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in delivering independent assurance regarding the effectiveness of risk management, governance, and internal control processes for Consortium clients. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is exploring new technologies, including AI and data analytics, to enhance audit methodologies.Your Key Responsibilities Include:Managing the full range of internal audit responsibilities, from planning to execution.Collaborating with the Head of Internal Audit to ensure annual audit plans are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.Engaging with external providers and officers to facilitate seamless audit processes.Developing your internal audit knowledge through coaching and mentoring while tackling complex audits.Assisting in audit planning activities and preparing Audit Committee reports.Supporting the development and supervision of a new Internal Auditor, fostering a collaborative learning environment.About You:We're looking for someone who is:A Certified Internal Auditor (or currently studying for CIA certification).Experienced in managing audits from start to finish.Skilled in engaging with diverse teams and adapting your approach to various situations.An analytical thinker with strong research abilities.An active listener who takes ownership of tasks and contributes innovative ideas.Why Work with our Client?When you join our client's organisation, you become part of a fantastic team.
