Purpose:
Tosupport the Head of HR Systems in developing and enhancing the HRand Payroll systems(s) by providing experienced HR Systemsanalytics and visualisation skills in HR analytics/managementinformation deployment of key HR Systems analytics and projectleading relating to analyticsprojects.

To be involved inand responsible for HR/Payroll mission wide analytics developmentsand the production of analytics and data visualisation to developcomprehensive data insights on workforce trends and challenges withembedded tracking and eventually prediction through a thoroughunderstanding of these systems. The role will take a proactiveapproach to evolving comprehensive actionable insights to supportthe strategic aims of the HR Department and mission of theorganisation.

Youwill…

  • Takethe lead on HR Systems analytics projects from scoping to postimplementation review with a focus on data analytics and Missionwide management information data provision
  • Beresponsible for configuring and scoping and overseeing theimplementation of analytics data visualisation functionality incollaboration with the Head of HRSystems
  • Working with Analytics stakeholders andleads in other departments to develop cross Missionmultidimensional management information to informleadership
  • Understand the evolving HR andPayroll system(s) and third party tools and any supplementarymodules to such systems as used at theorganisation.
  • Assist the Head of HR Systems andother team members in the development and implementation of PowerBIDashboards and other Business Intelligencedashboards
  • Proactively identify and develop newmanagement information and business intelligence solutions; compiledata statistics and analysis and provide proof of conceptsolutions
  • Manage and proactively ensure dataintegrity of the organisation structure in thesystem
  • Produce accurate and professionalstandard complex and adhoc management information and KPI reportsto users as required
  • Line manage twosystems/data analysts and develop their potential in analyticsdelivery
  • Troubleshoot any identified problemswith fully and partially converted reports and providesolutions
  • Where necessary take advantage of newfunctionality to improve management informationservice
  • Support the Head of HR Systems inensuring that the software application is understood sufficientlyby all direct users to enable them to carry out their allotted workthrough adequate an appropriate training and documentedprocedures
  • Induct new users in the correct useof the various HR Systems
  • Provide as requiredquality assurance assistance in data;
  • Provideadvice and guidance on processes and proceduresadhoc;
  • Work as part of the team within thedepartment to ensure that the overall aims and objectives areachieved;
  • Maintain absolute discretion andmaturity in handling sensitive/confidentialdata;
  • Proactively involved in testing newfunctionality and system developments;
  • Supportthe Head of HR Systems in ensuring that the software application isunderstood sufficiently by all direct users to enable them to carryout their allotted work through adequate and appropriate trainingand documented procedures
  • Work as part of theteam within the HR Department to ensure that the overall aims andobjectives are achieved and to provide support to the core teams asneeded (HR Department Payroll Unit Pensions Team Finance DepartmentCar Fleet Department Training College Officer Unit Retired OfficerUnit Overseas Unit and other core users and selfservice usersacross the territory;
  • Promote equality anddiversity as part of the culture of theMovement
  • Undertake training as deemed necessaryand to participate in regular performance reviews with the Head ofHR Systems
  • Undertake any other duties asrequired for the effective running of the Department and theOrganisation.

Youhave…

  • Degreein relevant subject such as IT/HR/Business and proven (2 years)experience in PowerBI report development within an HR and Payrollfunction;
  • Proven experience in a similar rolewithin an HR function and report scoping and building using PowerBItoolsets and development languages (including Dax Mcode andincorporating natural language processing) and advanced SAPBusiness Intelligence report development. Additional knowledge ofdevelopment skills in other similar reporting tools in creatingdata visualisation and analytics dashboards would be anadvantage;
  • Analytical and problem solvingskills relating to analytics and datavisualisation;
  • Able to communicate verbally andin writing effectively and appropriately with people at all levelsthroughout the organisation and external bodies as requiredincluding software vendors;
  • Proven endtoendproject management skills roll out and delivery of analyticsfunctionality up to and including UAT; Solutionsorientated andsystematic approach to issueresolution;
  • Previous line Managementexperience
  • Proven experience of leadingdevelopment and support of major iTrent modules along withreviewing business process and datamigration;
  • Familiarity with implementation fromscoping to postimplementationreview;
  • Experience of HR and/or payrollprocesses;
  • Ability and proven experience inplanning and organising multiple priorities anddeadline;
  • Proven experience of gaining buyinand negotiation skills working with suppliers and keystakeholders;
  • Knowledge of data privacyrequirements in an organisation;
  • Excellent ITskills with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office toolsetparticularly Excel.
