As a Senior GIS Technician, you will be part of our client’s growing Geospatial team, you will play a crucial role in supporting a fast-paced property consultancy. Daily, you will produce high quality maps and plans and to support everything from legal conveyancing and land registration through to planning constraints mapping for renewable energy projects. Using the latest spatial analysis techniques, you will develop complex site finding analysis to support new development projects including renewable energy, Life sciences, local government planning and commercial property initiatives.
With access to the full Esri Enterprise GIS platform, Safe FME and the latest 2D and 3D data sets, they encourage you to be innovative, grow your skills and produce geospatial analysis that will help shape the world we live in.

Main tasks:
Prepare high-quality accurate maps to support Legal Conveyancing, Land Registration, Sales, Acquisitions and all aspects of Land and Property Management.
Data manipulation, editing, attribution and analysis tasks.
Digitising, Geocoding and Geo referencing data. To support cartographic production.
Production of Land Parcel Boundaries/Area Calculations.
Develop complex site finding analysis models based upon client requirements and present the results using a combination of mapping, web application and Dashboards using Esri Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.
Provide Geospatial Consultancy to clients and the wider business to help cross sell Geospatial services.
Look for opportunities to employ and embed Geospatial services across both client and business workflows.
Workflow Management and Supervision.
General Team Admin, including WIP and job management, SOPs, BOPs.

This job description is not exhaustive, and the jobholder may be required to undertake additional duties from time to time to ensure the smooth running of the department.

What will it take to be successful?
Ideally you will have extensive experience in GIS with proven experience in creating, customizing, and maintaining ESRI ArcGIS-based applications and APIs using the Esri Platform, including ArcGIS Online/Enterprise, Web App Builder, Experience Builder, and Ops Dashboards. Experience in using Ordnance Survey Licensed and Open data products is ideal, alongside, extensive experience in developing Esri Mobile Worker Applications, including Survey 123, Field Maps, and Quick Capture and proficiency in data integration and management using ArcGIS Pro, ensuring data integrity and interoperability. Previous use of Spatial SQL to create custom queries and view tables in MS SQL would be advantageous.
You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex spatial data effectively, are important to this role. Experience processing and analysing 3D Survey data including, point clouds, 3D mesh datasets, ortho images and DSMs and utilising these datasets in 3D web scenes would be advantageous but not essential.

This role is hybrid and ideally 2 days per week in the office
