Senior Investment Solutions Specialist - Digital Technology and AI-driven Solutions
The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is Financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyond-infrastructure with sustainability at its core. The Sectors, Themes, and Finance Solutions Department (STF) fosters technical excellence and expands the Bank's financing expertise across all sectors and themes to support both sovereign and non-sovereign investment operations. It spearheads the development and implementation of innovative investment projects and leads the introduction and operationalization of new products and financing modalities - often ahead of their mainstream adoption by the Client Departments (CDs).
In close collaboration with the CDs, STF conducts upstream work to support and incubate new initiatives in frontier technologies, public-private partnership (PPP) advisory, and other productive sectors. It also guides the Bank's corporate strategy by setting thematic priorities such as: green infrastructure, technology-enabled infrastructure, private capital mobilization (PCM), and cross-border cooperation. In addition, the Department supports the Bank's efforts on cross-cutting themes including climate, gender and inclusivity, and nature.
STF further represents the Bank in international forums to address sectoral, thematic, and financing issues, actively networks with other development partners, and reinforces AIIB's reputation as a premier development institution contributing to the global development agenda.
STF is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Investment Solutions Specialist with expertise in Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven Solutions. The Data Analytics and AI Solutions expert will lead the integration of advanced data analytics and AI-driven methodologies to enhance investment strategies and operational efficiencies. This role requires a deep understanding of AI technologies, data management, and the ability to collaborate across various departments to drive data-centric decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- AI-driven solutions
- Oversee the development and implementation of AI-driven analyses to support investment operations and refine sector strategies.
- Collect and synthesize data from public sources, MDBs, and relevant institutions to bolster AI-driven market and sector research efforts.
- Work with specialists (Sector, Climate, and Products) to design AI-based research methodologies addressing key investment queries.
- Participate in IT projects to seamlessly integrate AI research solutions, ensuring efficient data flow and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Establish and maintain research frameworks utilizing AI tools to ensure consistent and high-quality sector analyses.
- Provide technical guidance on AI-driven research techniques to internal teams, promoting a culture of innovation.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, data analytics, and market intelligence to enhance research outcomes.
- Data analytics
- Contributes to the creation and execution of AIIB-wide data analytics programs.
- Support the design and rollout of data analytics and big data policies in coordination with various departments.
- Assist AIIB members in implementing data analytics and big data initiatives within development projects.
- Develop and share knowledge products related to data analytics and big data.
- Organize and conduct training sessions, serving as a resource person for data analytics and big data events.
- Support the development and execution of technical assistance programs related to data analytics and big data.
- Establish and manage partnerships with other MDBs and leading organizations to support capacity-building initiatives.
- Act as a liaison with other departments on data analytics and big data matters, tracking global trends relevant to operations.
- Support policy discussions and readiness assessments for integrating data analytics and big data in project pipelines.
- Provide technical assistance across all stages of projects/programs in various sectors and thematic areas.
- Introduce pilot innovative projects in partnership with clients departments and development partners at various levels.
Requirements:
- A master's degree in computer science, data science, information technology or related fields
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, big data, and related fields preferably within international organizations or financial institutions.
- Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, R), data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and AI and/or Machine Learning frameworks.
- Familiarity with the operations of MDBs and their investment strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
- Established global network of professional relationships across the development and technology sectors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
