Senior Data Architect

Our client is seeking aSenior Digital Architect specializing in data strategy to lead digital solution architecture for enterprise projects within the public sector.

This is a remote role that must be worked in Canada.

Must Haves:

 Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study equivalencies will be considered. 5+ years demonstrated experience leading cross-functional agile product teams, providing architectural direction, and mentoring developers and technical leads. 8+ years' experience as adata architect,software architect, or senior data engineer, where the proposed resource’s focus has been collaborative work on and/or with cross-functional teams to create new software applications 5+ years' experience in leading solution architecture and introducing the overall technical vision for a large-scale enterprise project with integrations between systems. 4+ years' experience leadingdomain modellinganddatabase schema designfor transactional and reporting systems. 5+ years ' strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.

Nice-to Haves -- A combination experience is required:

3 years' Experience aligningdata architecture withorganizational data strategies and digital service delivery goals. 3 years' Experience applyingdata governanceprinciples to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance in data product delivery. 4 years' Experience applying secure development practices and managing identity and access using role-based or attribute-based access control and Zero Trust Architecture principle. 2 years' Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams toembed data interoperabilityand standardization practices into product development workflows. 5 years' Experience incrementally transforming existing legacy systems into modern digital services across multiple releases. 2 years' Experience withcontainerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practicesfor cloud or hybrid environments 2 years' Experience working within an organization equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta. 5 years' Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases, including schema design and performance optimization. 2 years' Experience working withinpublic sector digital service frameworksor enterprise architecture standards. 4 years' Experience working as an architect usingdata analytics toolsand methodologies to derive insights from data
