OVERALL SUMMARY

Join the Close Brothers Controls, Governance and Oversight Team! We’re looking for someone who loves working with data and making it meaningful. You’ll document data requirements from regulators and bureaus, apply data governance standards, and bring insights to life through visualisation. With your background in regulatory reporting, you’ll support profiling, cleansing, and quality reporting to help drive confident, data-led decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion data quality for Product Sales Data, making sure everything is accurate, reliable and ready to shine.
  • Keep our data dictionaries, metadata and reporting standards up to date and aligned with regulatory needs.
  • Work closely with teams across the business to spot data gaps, solve problems and turn insights into action.
  • Use tools like SQL and Alteryx to build smart, automated data solutions that support clear and engaging reporting.
  • Make sure our data governance standards are not just met, but embedded into everything we do.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

  • You’re confident working with metadata and know how to keep it clean, structured and meaningful.
  • You can clearly document data requirements for regulatory reporting using Critical Data Elements standards.
  • You’ve got hands-on experience with data controls, validation and regulatory or bureau submissions.
  • You’re comfortable with data profiling, cleansing and creating engaging dashboards that tell a story.
  • You’ve got a sharp eye for detail and a knack for getting to the root of data issues.
  • You’re passionate about technology and excited to grow your career with a team that values your voice.

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:

  • Enjoy building interactive dashboards in Tableau that bring data to life.
  • Have experience with Informatica tools like IDQ, Analyst or Meta Manager.
  • Understand how to map data lineage using BCBS 239 principles.
  • Know your way around data modelling and data warehouse design.
  • Have worked with tools like SSIS or Informatica in previous roles.
  • Bring knowledge of Irish CCR or other bureau reporting frameworks.
  • Come from a software or data engineering background.
  • Hold a DAMA certification or are working towards one.
