The Company

An organisation whose products genuinely seek to improve the world in which we live, having developed an industry-leading suite of software products that allows businesses with online communities to better understand them.

They safeguard users against negative behaviour, through utilising sophisticated AI technologies such as language and behavioural analysis in order to automate the interception of abuse in near real-time.

The Role

Working in a close-knit, highly talented team of data engineers, you will be working across the stack, improving existing functionality, and developing new areas of the application as the product grows and adapts to client requirements.

As a team, they don't rely on managed services provided by the large LaaS providers so although they do use tools like ElasticSearch and Kafka, they manage the infrastructure for these services themselves. That means they are looking for a candidate who understands these technologies (or similar) deeply enough to ensure they are optimally leveraging their capabilities.

The Candidate

5 or more years of professional experience in data engineering Experience with ElasticSearch, Kafka, Redis, Google Cloud andor AWS Experience working with environments that include high volume data throughput Experience in Python or Javascript programming
