We\'re looking for an experienced data engineer who specialises in designing, constructing, and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks. In this role, you will collaborate closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to meet the organisation\'s data requirements. The role is open to applicants based in Ireland or the UK and already holding the necessary work authorisation.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, constructing, and maintaining data pipelines using ADF and Databricks.
  • Collaborating with data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data needs and provide effective data solutions.
  • Developing and managing scalable data architectures, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Optimising data pipelines for performance and reliability.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implementing data security and privacy measures to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience working as part of a data engineering function.
  • Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Proficiency in SQL and good to have programming languages like Python.
  • Familiarity with data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
