This full-time, remote position offers anexciting opportunity to transition from internal BI-focusedinitiatives to building cutting-edge, customer-facing data productsand enhancing the companys data platform capabilities.You will playa pivotal role in driving product-focused innovation and developingrobust, scalable frameworks to meet the needs of external userswhile applying software engineering best practices to dataengineering.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and Expand ProductEngineering CapabilitiesCollaborate with the Data Platform team todesign and deliver customer-facing data products.Apply SDLC andCI/CD best practices to ensure seamless product delivery.Architectand implement advanced data frameworks and pipelines to support newuse cases.Ownership & StrategyLead strategic discussions withinternal and external stakeholders.Develop strategies to optimiseinteraction with the Data Platform.Build advanced Databricksconcepts and semantic layer frameworks.Minimise dependencies onother teams through robust architecture and self-sufficientdesign.Data Quality & Engineering ProcessesFocus on engineeringexcellence through continuous integration and testing.Implementrobust systems for data quality, monitoring, andreliability.Required SkillsetBachelor’s or Master’s degree inComputer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a relatedfield.4+ years of experience in data engineering or a similarrole.Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scaledata pipelines and frameworks.Hands-on experience withcustomer-facing data products and platforms.Demonstrated ability towork collaboratively with product teams andstakeholders.Proficiency in Python (preferred).Experience withJava, Go, Scala, or C# (optional).Familiarity with React forfront-end components.Strong experience with Databricks onAWS.Knowledge of Azure integrations.Expertise in Airflow fororchestration.Familiarity with semantic layers such as Cube.js orDBT.Proficiency in defining and implementing CI/CD pipelines.Strongexperience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.Solidunderstanding of relational databases (RDBMS).Experience scriptingpipelines and ETL processes.
