Role Overview

AsChiefDataArchitect, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge data architectures, focusing on cloud solutions, data management, governance, and cyber-security. You will work closely with public sector clients to ensure data strategies align with organizational goals and industry best practices. Your role will be critical in driving organizational change, breaking down data silos, and fostering a standardized data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Establishing a CDO Office: Spearhead the creation of a Chief Data Officer (CDO) office, driving the vision for data governance and strategy.
• Data Architecture Strategy: Define, maintain, and implement a comprehensive data architecture strategy and blueprint for master data management.
• Use Case Delivery: Deliver one or two key use cases to demonstrate the value of strategic data initiatives.
• Data Risk Mitigation: Develop a data segmentation and risk mitigation framework to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and security.
• Data Discovery & Management: Build capabilities to enhance data discovery and ensure robust data management across the organization.

Delivery Requirements

• Design composable data products to reduce risks associated with data inconsistencies and inaccuracies.
• Drive organizational change by scaling data solutions and eliminating data silos.
• Standardize the data ecosystem to accelerate the delivery of data products to meet business needs.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Cloud & Data Management Expertise: Proven experience in cloud architecture, data governance, and cyber-security, especially within the public sector.
• Python and SQL for pipeline development
• GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• Airflow and Docker for orchestration and scheduling
• Public Sector Experience: Deep understanding of public sector practices, particularly related to business data architecture.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to manage relationships and requirements across technical and non-technical teams.
