The role

As our first Senior Data Analyst, you'll play a key role in TourHero's mission to create incredible group travel experiences. In this role, you'll blend business and product analysis to generate insights that fuel our success.

You'll analyse core business metrics and product data to identify opportunities and areas for improvement. Your work will span strategic business analysis, understanding user behaviour through product analytics, and crafting clear data-driven reports and narratives. This includes supporting our founders and finance team in building a compelling investment story grounded in data.

Joining our team as the inaugural Senior Data Analyst, you'll have a direct impact on TourHero's growth by unlocking the power of our data. We're looking for an analytically-skilled professional ready to drive decision-making with insights.

What you’ll be doing

  • Analyse company data to uncover trends, opportunities and areas needing improvement.
  • Develop data-driven hypotheses and collaborate with teams on solutions.
  • Analyse product performance data to optimise existing features.
  • Leverage data insights to inform product roadmaps and new feature development.
  • Combine business and product data into compelling narratives.
  • Create data-backed investment presentations and stories.
  • Present findings to leadership, investors and cross-functional teams.
  • Support founders and finance in crafting a data-driven investment story.
  • Develop clear reports and visualisations to effectively communicate data insights.
  • Measure user engagement and feature adoption rates.
  • Provide product performance insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with product leadership to shape product strategy through data-driven decision making.
  • Develop strategies for monitoring and reporting on key product KPIs to measure progress.
  • Identify trends in user behaviour and data usage to enhance customer retention and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineers to construct data pipelines and establish data tracking systems.

The ideal profile

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong technical skills including SQL, Python/R, and data visualisation tools. We are open to exploring and incorporating other relevant tools and technologies as needed.
  • Excellent communication abilities to explain complex analyses to non-technical audiences.
  • An entrepreneurial, self-driven mindset eager to learn and make an impact.
  • Curious mindset to approach data as an opportunity for actionable insights.
  • Skilled at translating findings into clear recommendations by identifying root causes.
  • Experience in developing measurement frameworks to quantify business impacts.
  • Collaborative team player able to work cross-functionally with global teams.
  • Balance of detail-orientation and strategic big-picture thinking.
  • Prior experience in product analytics, A/B testing, or metrics analysis (preferred).
  • Eagerness to learn and make an impact in a dynamic startup environment.

Location:London, UK + offices in New York, USA and Bogota, Colombia.

Office policy:4 days per week in office, near Moorgate station. 1 day of work from home.
