We are looking for a People Analytics - Senior Data Analyst to join our global People Systems & Data team. This is a small but high-impact team with significant opportunity to shape how we use data across the business. You will play a pivotal role in building out the data infrastructure, improving pipelines, and setting the foundation for scalable, reliable people data.


As part of this role, you'll work on developing our data pipeline architecture, connecting disparate HR systems, and establishing unified data standards across the organisation. As a People Analytics - Senior Analyst, you'll design, develop, and optimise data solutions that empower decision-making across Civica. Collaboration is at the heart of this role - you'll partner with HR COE teams, IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and trusted. Improving and embedding governance and compliance in everything we deliver, while helping the organisation make smarter, data-driven decisions and building momentum for a more connected and reliable data landscape. This role offers substantial scope for growth: you'll not only shape the way we manage and use people data today but also play a key part in defining the future of People Analytics at Civica.


What you will do to be successful in this role as Senior Data Analyst


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with HRBPs and other internal COEs, IT, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable solutions
  • Support the development of the People Data strategy, helping to define standards, processes, and best practices
  • Drive improvements in data accuracy, governance, and standardization, ensuring consistency and reliability across functions
  • Lead the development of Power BI solutions - from robust data modelling to creating intuitive, insightful dashboards
  • Connect to and integrate multiple data sources for reporting
  • Gather and translate business requirements into robust data solutions
  • Utilise existing technology to automate and provide real-time data and analytics where possible
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation and provide end-user training and support
  • Design and deliver automated, self-service reporting solutions that reduce manual work and provide timely, actionable insights for HR and business leaders
  • Be a catalyst for change - building momentum in how data is valued, used, and trusted within the organisation
  • Maintain clear documentation for datasets, models, and transformation processes

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
  • Proven data modelling skills across multiple business contexts
  • Strong skills for data extraction, transformation, and validation
  • Proficiency in Excel for advanced data analysis and manipulation
  • Experience developing automated reporting solutions and self-service analytics tools
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (ETL in Power Query, data modelling, DAX, and dashboard design)
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices
  • Ability to work with incomplete or messy data and implement data cleansing strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for using data to drive better people and business outcomes
  • Familiarity with SQL or other scripting languages (like Python) for data transformation and automations
  • Microsoft Power Platform
  • Experience working with APIs to extract and integrate data from HR and business systems
  • Experience with HR/People data and an understanding of typical HCM systems and processes
