About Us

Be A Bear (part of the Spin Group) is a YouTube-first, social media agency working with some of the world’s biggest entertainment brands including MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, Channel 5 and more. We specialise in audience growth, strategy, creative and reporting across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and beyond.

We’re looking for a senior data analyst to join our growing team and take ownership of how we collect, process, visualise and share data with clients. This role will be central in transforming our current reporting into a streamlined, insight-driven process that helps clients understand not just what’s happening on their channels, but why – and what to do next.

What you’ll do

  • Own reporting across all clients.
  • Pull, clean, and analyse data from YouTube Analytics, Instagram, Meta Business Suite, TikTok, and other platforms to support the team.
  • Streamline processes to reduce manual work by channel managers and account managers (currently using Google Docs, Google Sheets and Keynote).
  • Develop visual, impactful reports in Google Slides/Sheets/Keynote that focus on insights and storytelling, not just numbers.
  • Build wider scalable templates for monthly and quarterly reports that can be rolled out across clients.
  • Collaborate with teams to highlight the story behind the data and recommend actions.
  • Experiment with automation tools (Looker Studio, Apps Script, Tubular Labs, third-party dashboards) to further reduce manual work and increase insight delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date on social platform changes and translate them into meaningful recommendations for clients.

Client & Internal Collaboration

  • Participate in internal calls and on occasion client/ new business calls and present data-backed insights in a clear, engaging way.
  • Maintain internal tracking docs and contribute to strategic planning for each channel.

Support New Business

  • Assist with insight research, platform audits and benchmarking for prospective clients and proposals.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience working in data/reporting working with YouTube
  • Strong analytical and technical skills – confident pulling large datasets and making sense of them.
  • Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and data visualisation best practice.
  • Familiarity with YouTube Analytics, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics and similar.
  • A natural storyteller who can turn numbers into clear, actionable insights.
  • An eye for design and clarity in reporting – turning data-dense tables into intuitive graphs and dashboards.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g. Looker Studio, Apps Script, Tableau, PowerBI, Tubular Labs, Sprout) is a bonus.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with both internal teams and clients.
  • Ability to balance detail with efficiency – delivering both light-touch monthly updates and in-depth quarterly reviews.

Why join us?

  • Work with world-class clients across entertainment, sport and talent.
  • Shape the way reporting and business intelligence functions are built in a fast-growing agency.
  • Be part of a collaborative, ambitious and creative team that’s always looking to push boundaries.
  • Opportunity to experiment with new tools, automation and reporting methods.
  • Either full remote if not based in London or hybrid working with flexibility, plus team socials and a supportive culture.

At Be A Bear, we foster a vibrant work environment that thrives on diverse perspectives and creative ideas. As strong advocates for inclusion and representation, we actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of race, disability, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.

Beyond compliance, we take pride in building a dynamic work environment that fosters creativity and champions inclusion, diversity, and representation.

Why Data Science Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

Data science once meant advanced statistics, machine learning models and coding in Python or R. In the UK today, it has become one of the most in-demand professions across sectors — from healthcare to finance, retail to government. But as the field matures, employers now expect more than technical modelling skills. Modern data science is multidisciplinary. It requires not just coding and algorithms, but also legal knowledge, ethical reasoning, psychological insight, linguistic clarity and human-centred design. Data scientists are expected to interpret, communicate and apply data responsibly, with awareness of law, human behaviour and accessibility. In this article, we’ll explore why data science careers in the UK are becoming more multidisciplinary, how these five disciplines intersect with data science, and what job-seekers & employers need to know to succeed in this transformed field.

Data Science Team Structures Explained: Who Does What in a Modern Data Science Department

Data science is one of the most in-demand, dynamic, and multidisciplinary areas in the UK tech and business landscape. Organisations from finance, retail, health, government, and beyond are using data to drive decisions, automate processes, personalise services, predict trends, detect fraud, and more. To do that well, companies don’t just need good data scientists; they need teams with clearly defined roles, responsibilities, workflows, collaboration, and governance. If you're aiming for a role in data science or recruiting for one, understanding the structure of a data science department—and who does what—can make all the difference. This article breaks down the key roles, how they interact across the lifecycle of a data science project, what skills and qualifications are typical in the UK, expected salary ranges, challenges, trends, and how to build or grow an effective team.
