Duke's is now looking for an experienced Area Data Team Lead to join our team! This is an onsite position located at our regional office in Plymouth, MI.

In this position, you will oversee data operations, lead and mentor team members, and ensure data quality and integrity across all processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and other regional leads to align data strategies with business objectives.

What you will do:
  • Guide, coach, and mentor data team members, creating opportunities for professional development and supporting the advancement of technical and analytical skills across the team.
  • Coordinate and monitor daily activities related to data acquisition, validation, management, and analysis, ensuring alignment with regional and organizational priorities.
  • Oversee the allocation and prioritization of stages and activities, ensuring efficient workflow and balanced distribution of responsibilities to meet organizational objectives and deadlines.
  • Promote ongoing learning by organizing training sessions, developing documentation, and encouraging the sharing of insights, lessons learned, and innovative approaches among team members.
  • Enforce standards and best practices for data processing, management, and reporting to maintain high levels of accuracy and reliability.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the data team and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration to support business goals and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Ready to start your adventure with us?
  • Have a bachelor's degree in in data science, information management, business analytics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Have a mind and a passion for data analytics with at least 8 years of in data processing, data management, or data analytics roles, with at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity
  • Demonstrated expertise in data management tools and methodologies including GIS; FME is a plus!
  • Have strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have strong analytical abilities
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills
  • Have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Have proven ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams
  • Have proven ability to manage complex projects
  • Have experience implementing best practices for professional development and workload prioritization
  • Are able and willing to travel by car and/or air 2 – 3 weeks (~10 days) year for meetings

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Duke's reserves the right to offer the selected candidate a salary or wage that's commensurate with the market, qualifications, experience, education, skills, training, certifications, and/or seniority.
