Senior BI Developer – Manchester | Hybrid

We’re supporting a business on a major data transformation journey, and they’re looking for aSenior Business Intelligence Developerto help shape their BI strategy, lead best practices, and support the move to a modern, cloud-first data platform. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring others, and driving business-wide insight through data.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and design clear, actionable reporting solutions
  • Leading the development of scalable data models, dashboards, and visualisations
  • Supporting the migration of legacy processes to a new cloud-based data platform
  • Playing a key role in BI architecture, tooling decisions, and solution design
  • Mentoring BI developers, setting coding standards, and improving team delivery
  • Optimising performance, maintaining documentation, and embedding best practices

What You’ll Need:

  • Advanced skills inPower BI or Tableau
  • Previous experience managing a small team
  • Confident liasing with stakeholders and presenting to senior management
  • Strong SQLand experience withETL tools (e.g. SSIS, DBT, AWS Glue)
  • Solid understanding ofdata warehousing and data modelling principles
  • Experience with modern platforms likeSnowflake or Databricks
  • Great communication skills and experience working inAgileteams
  • A passion for data and a collaborative approach to problem-solving


Bonus:

  • Exposure to AWS (e.g. S3, Lambda), Python or R, or tools like Amazon QuickSight or ThoughtSpot
  • Familiarity with big data tools and data governance frameworks
