We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join the new Product and Supplier Management Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving Product & Supplier Manager (P&SM) performance improvements through strategic collaboration and influencing at various levels, including leadership teams.

As a subject matter expert, you will champion change initiatives that enhance performance and add significant value to the function. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular performance reviews with different levels of the P&SM team, identifying root causes of issues, and developing effective action plans. You will also explore and implement alternative ways of working, challenging the status quo to meet evolving business needs. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Product and Supplier Management, excellent analytical skills, experience in stakeholder management, technical development skills and the ability to influence and drive change across various levels of the organisation. This role is a hybrid working role with a requirement to work on-site in either Manchester or Coby x2 days per week.

What You Will Be Doing:


Creation and Delivery of Technical KPIs: Develop and deliver key performance indicators using Snowflake, Power BI and other tools used in the technology space within RS Group. 



Business Process Analysis and Mapping: Conduct thorough analysis and mapping of business processes to identify areas for improvement. 



Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with leadership teams, finance, and commercial teams, ensuring that data-driven insights directly shape key business decisions.



Strategy Execution: Execution of the vision for how data is utilised across Product and Supplier Management. Implement strategies that enhance data-driven decision-making, ensuring analytics drive both operational efficiency and long-term business growth. 



Detailed Analysis of P&SM KPIs: Monitor and perform detailed analysis of Product and Supplier Management KPIs across multiple areas using various reporting tools to identify root causes, generate actionable insights, and track ongoing progress. 



Business Requirements Management: Own business requirements, including outlining requirements, definitions, scope (In & Out), current & future processes, and exception processes & reporting/tracking capabilities. 



Highlighting Areas of Concern: Identify and highlight areas of concern to senior leadership and key business stakeholders. 



Efficiency and Productivity Gains: Identify opportunities to promote efficiency, cost savings, and productivity gains. 



Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis: Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis, presenting and communicating results clearly and comprehensively. 



Governance and Maintenance of Reports: Responsible for the maintenance, and creation of Product and Supplier Management reports and direction setting for specialists - Product and Supplier Management. 



Training and Development: Responsible for training and driving the development of new analytical technologies within P&SM. 


Essential skills and experience required:


Product and Supplier Management acumen, results oriented and willingness to learn/develop. 



Strong technical skills across RS Group’s analytics toolsets such as Snowflake and Power BI. 



Stakeholder management experience in order to work closely with senior analytic customers. 



Gathering business requirements in a detailed manner which can be translated from stakeholders to technical solutions.



Background in developing and delivering key performance indicators to a senior audience. 



Positive can-do attitude, takes ownership, and has a strong initiative.



Organised, detail oriented with a strong process and continuous improvement focus. 



Demonstrates an excellent understanding of, and the ability to articulate, the RS Value Proposition.



Ability to function effectively across cultures, to think and act appropriately, and to communicate and work with people from different cultural backgrounds.



Collaborative team player across a business with fast moving, customer driven markets.



Understanding of process and the value of organisational efficiency. 


Desirable skills and experience:


Certifications in relevant data and analytics technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Big Data Specialty, Snowflake, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are desirable. 



Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. 



Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
