About the Company- We are partnered with a SME bank in the city of London in recruiting a Senior Business Intelligent Analyst on a permanent basis providing business line reporting, back-office support for finance, treasury, risk, and financial planning, and transformational support. Additionally, they oversee enterprise BI technology management and data platform analytics and management. This is a hybrid role.



About the Role- Lead the bank's analytics and BI initiatives, promoting best practices and a data-first approach across all functions. Develop expert knowledge of the bank's data platform and reporting landscape, acting as a subject matter expert for data stakeholders. Maintain and update reports, continuously seeking improvements to enhance their effectiveness. Automate reports and conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support business needs. Write SQL queries to extract data from core system databases based on departmental requirements. Support Change Projects from a data and reporting perspective, enhancing the bank’s reporting platform and data integrity. Deliver advanced analytics and AI projects that align with the bank's analytics strategy and drive business value. Analyse bank data to identify trends, provide insights, and uncover opportunities to drive business performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop requirements for analytics and reporting projects, ensuring data accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in a numeric, scientific, or finance-related field.
  • Extensive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or management information roles.
  • Proficient in SQL, with expertise in querying large database systems and developing robust code.
  • Advanced Tableau skills, capable of creating engaging and value-adding dashboards, analytics, and reports.
  • Expert-level Excel knowledge for data analysis and management.
  • Proven track record of leveraging analytical skills to deliver business value.
  • Experience in the Financial Services or Banking industry.
  • Skilled in communicating complex ideas simply and effectively using appropriate presentation techniques.
  • Strong time management abilities, adept at balancing multiple projects.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to make effective decisions based on a detailed understanding of business processes.
  • Experience of working within agile development approaches, Jira and Power BI are desirable.
