About FilmTailor AI:

We are a UK based startup building the first AI-powered project management and design platform tailored for the Film, TV and Advertisement industry. Our technology helps filmmakers streamline script analysis, costume design, mood board creation, and overall production planning with intelligent automation and collaboration tools. We are transforming Film production with cutting-edge technology and are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to architect and build our AI-powered platform.


Role Overview:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, develop and maintain the backend services and infrastructure that power our platform. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable APIs, integrating AI capabilities, and implementing complex business logic. Working closely with our AI team, you'll develop agent-based systems that automate and enhance the film production workflow, ensuring our platform delivers exceptional performance, security, and reliability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Architecture: Design and implement scalable, maintainable backend services using .NET and related technologies
  • Agentic AI Integration: Develop systems that leverage AI agents to automate production planning and creative workflows
  • API Development: Build secure, efficient APIs that connect our frontend applications with backend services
  • Database Design: Create and optimize database schemas and queries for performance and data integrity
  • System Integration: Connect third-party services and APIs into our platform ecosystem
  • Technical Leadership: Guide architectural decisions and mentor junior developers
  • DevOps Practices: Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and infrastructure as code principles


What We're Looking For:

  • Technical Expertise: 4+ years of professional software development experience with .NET Core/C#
  • AI Systems Knowledge: Understanding of AI agent architectures, LLM integration, and orchestration
  • Database Skills: Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience optimizing for performance
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with Azure cloud services and containerization technologies
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills and the ability to architect solutions for complex problems
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment with an experimental and iterative mindset

The Offer:

The Catch:

  • This is a volunteer position until investment
  • Requires a minimum commitment of 10-15 hrs per week
  • We are very close to getting investment and you will be able to choose between part-time, full-time and contract work once we land the money
