We are looking for a Senior Azure Developer to join the Frontier team, on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fully homebased role but there will be a requirement to attend sites when needed.

You will be an integral part of a high-performing team, working with Microsoft technologies to implement complex data solutions that deliver best-in-class experiences for our customers and empower our colleagues to make data-driven decisions every day.

About You

  1. Working closely with our Architects and Azure Engineers, you will leverage your technical skills to develop and deliver high-quality solutions that meet required specifications. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that solutions are aligned with business requirements.
  2. You will work in collaboration with Engineering, Digital, and Core Systems onshore and offshore teams to deliver cross-functional projects, in addition to data-focused projects, through to production.
  3. You will be an advocate for engineering excellence, following in-house standards and architectural principles to ensure that our data solutions meet the required standards for privacy, security, compliance, and regulation. Your contributions to code reviews, Agile events, testing and quality assurance will be essential to our success.
  4. You will act as mentor to junior members of the team and enjoy furthering their development.
  5. You will be a qualified Azure Data Engineer Associate.
  6. You will have practical experience of Data Governance/Quality platforms such as Informatica.
  7. You will have practical experience of CICD deployment strategies and configurations.
  8. You will have 3+ years’ experience with Azure configuration, development & deployment.
  9. You will be experienced with iterative development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  10. You will have excellent communication skills.

Your Role

As a Senior Azure Developer your role will involve:

  1. Delivering high-quality enterprise-level data solutions on Microsoft platforms.
  2. Delivering all Azure technical components including configuration, deployment, and maintenance of databases.
  3. Participating in the development and maintenance of Data warehouses.
  4. Developing and deploying Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Informatica Customer 360, SQL, reports, and automation.
  5. Configuring Informatica to integrate data with our EDP platform as well as create and monitor data quality rules.
  6. Collaborating with Architects and Senior Engineers to deliver LLDs to required technical designs and specifications.
  7. Collaborating with the business to ensure solutions delivered meet business requirements.
  8. Working closely with Engineering, Digital, and Core Systems teams to deliver cross-functional projects.
  9. Contributing to Agile events, including Daily Stand-Ups, Backlog Refinement workshops, Retrospectives, and Demos.
  10. Participating in code reviews.
  11. Adhering to in-house engineering standards and architectural principles based on industry best practices.
  12. Following in-house policies and procedures for Data Management, Governance, and Quality.
  13. Creating technical documentation, wikis, and release notes as needed to support all stages of the Development Lifecycle.
  14. Conducting thorough testing and quality assurance checks on data solutions prior to release.
