Application Support Operations Engineer - C# .NET

Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract 12 months
Salary: £(Apply online only)/day Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Application Operations Engineer with expertise in C# .NET to join our dynamic team. As an Application Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, managing, and maintaining a suite of applications, ensuring their stability and seamless performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct the lifecycle management of assets, including infrastructure, software, intellectual property, licenses, and warranties.
Help define, analyze, plan, forecast, measure, maintain, and continuously improve the availability and performance of services.
Manage service changes, configuration items, organizational changes, supplier changes, and associated documentation.
Identify opportunities for service and business improvement, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
Respond to service requests, ensuring proper prioritization and detailed investigations to resolve issues effectively.
Take ownership of problems and proactively resolve technical issues, ensuring that technical solutions align with business requirements.
Analyze problems and help identify appropriate solutions to enhance service delivery.
Focus on the entire lifecycle of service delivery, including designing, developing, delivering, and operating services.
Demonstrate knowledge of service management frameworks, principles, and processes.
Ensure the use of appropriate tools and techniques to maintain, execute, and report tests.

Experience & Skills Required:

Professional Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a programmer or support engineer in a similar environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce reports and deliver presentations to senior leadership and large groups.
Strong ability to analyze complex business requirements, propose solutions, and make informed recommendations.
Proven experience in making decisions based on business priorities, constraints, and available information.
Demonstrated ability to check progress against targets, report as necessary, and take corrective action when needed.

Programming and Build (Software Engineering):

Proven expertise in C# .NET and related technologies, with experience in using cloud components.
Familiarity with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for improving user experience.
Solid experience with automated testing tools and techniques, particularly test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
Extensive experience with build pipelines and related tools, ensuring efficient and automated software delivery.

Systems Design:

Experience in system design, including designing solutions with medium levels of risk, impact, and technical complexity.
Hands-on experience with web APIs and designing scalable solutions.
Ability to select appropriate design standards, methods, and tools, including cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
Proven experience in building scalable, cloud-hosted web applications.
Understanding of cloud features and how to incorporate them into software design.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Certifications in Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) are a plus.
