Senior Automation Project Manager

Location: Nottingham
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Benefits
Hybrid Working: 2 days remote, 3 days onsite per week

About the Role

Are you an experienced Automation Project Manager looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead multiple automation projects, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation solutions within logistics, robotics, and industrial automation.

Electrical/PLC Design & Development

Conveyors, Robotics, Automotive

Project Management within Logistics Automation

Key Skills & Experience Required:

Leadership & Team Management

Project Scheduling & Task Prioritization

Risk & Budget Management

Strong Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

AutoCAD - Layouts

Minimum 5+ years' experience in a relevant role

Your Responsibilities:

Lead multiple engineering projects, ensuring they meet industry standards and client expectations

Develop and gain approval for Functional Design Specifications (FDS)

Design control layouts and create technical documentation in line with industry standards

Oversee key project milestones, including FDS sign-off, electrical design, FAT, commissioning, and final acceptance testing

Manage project resources and mentor junior Automation Project Managers

Identify, budget, and procure project materials, ensuring timely delivery

Provide weekly project updates to senior management, highlighting key risks and opportunities

Conduct site visits to monitor progress and maintain client relationships

Ensure compliance with CE/UKCA Marking standards
