This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.

What is the role?

This role ensures the implementation and governance of a comprehensive reward programme, tracking how competitive our overall offer is and tracking the return on our total investment in reward. Working with a total employee base of c 3,000 and an employee cost base of £150m.

We are looking for this role to start in the summer 2025, and due to planned retirement, this role has the unique opportunity of structured handover period until the end of the year, but with space to create your own path.

What will you do?

A key member of HR management team, the role will be required to collaborate closely with the business facing HR teams in delivering:      

Compensation Strategy:

Design, implement, and evaluate compensation structures to ensure they attract, motivate, and retain employees.

Develop and maintain job grading systems and frameworks to maintain pay equity and transparency.

Benefits Administration:

Oversee employee benefit programs, such as pensions, healthcare, and other benefits.

Review and negotiate contracts with benefit providers to secure competitive offerings.

Policy Development & Compliance:

Develop policies and procedures related to rewards and benefits, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization.

Stay updated on legal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance in reward practices.

Work closely with senior leadership to align reward strategies with business objectives.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of reward strategies.

Prepare reports and presentations for senior management to support decision-making and provide insight, data on trends and other data aspects.

Do you have what we're looking for?

CIPD or Reward Qualification (Desirable)

In-depth experience of managing reward in a commercial and/or dynamic environment ideally experience of unionised reward arrangements

Hands-on experience of implementing significant changes to reward programmes and processes

Solid benefits experience including management of flex schemes as well as recognition and wellbeing arrangements

Recent use and good knowledge of the Willis Towers Watson global grading system (desirable)

Advanced excel and data skills, an ability to turn numbers into a compelling story along with a strong attention to detail
