About the Role

As a Research Analyst you will be responsible for conducting research, analysing data, and supporting various projects to deliver valuable insights and allowance recommendations for global mobility teams and their international assignees. 

With a focus on measuring costs and providing useful guidance for expatriates based in over 500 cities around the world, the Research Analyst supports the Product Analytics teams in gathering, analysing and synthesising data across multiple domains. Additionally, the role involves actively exploring and implementing innovative AI-driven approaches to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of research processes, contributing to the success of the team and wider organisation. 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Research: Assist in conducting primary and secondary research to gather data on a wide range of costs and issues relating to expatriates around the globe. 
  • Data Collection: Support the collection and organisation of data from various sources, including surveys, reports, and databases, AI and other online sources. Ensure data accuracy and completeness. 
  • Data Analysis: Assist with analysing data using statistical and analytical tools. Support the generation of insights and contribute to clear, data-driven reporting. 
  • Content Generation: Assist in writing reports and articles, preparing presentations and summarising findings, providing insights and recommendations to varied stakeholders. 
  • Market Analysis: Conduct research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the global mobility space. 
  • Learning and Development: Actively participate in training and development activities to build research and analytical skills. Seek feedback and guidance to improve performance. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to support research projects and ensure alignment with organisational goals. 

 

Qualifications and experience: 

Essential: 

  • Demonstrated interest in data analysis and research, supported by relevant coursework, academic projects, or early career experience. 
  • Familiarity with data tools or platforms (e.g. Excel, SQL, or Python), either through education, apprenticeships, or self-directed learning. 

Desirable: 

  • A university degree or professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Data Science, Data Analyst, Economics, Social Sciences). 
  • Exposure to AI tools, data analytics platforms (e.g. Snowflake), or statistical programming. 

 

Skills and Behaviours: 

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse data, identify trends and draw conclusions. Familiarity with statistical modelling and analytical techniques is desirable. 
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data collection and analysis. 
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey findings and deliver insights clearly and concisely. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of prompt engineering, generative AI applications, basic coding skills (e.g. Python or SQL) and the Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Innovative Approach: Creative problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and develop new solutions. 
  • Learning Attitude: Eagerness to learn and adapt, with a proactive approach to seeking feedback and improving skills. 
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and contribute effectively to group projects. 
  • Global Awareness: A well-informed interest in global issues, current events, and emerging trends.
