About the Role

Our client, a prominent crypto market-making firm specializing in OTC (Over-the-Counter) trading and arbitrage strategies, is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Quantitative Trader to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the cryptocurrency market, leveraging cutting-edge technology and quantitative strategies to optimize trading performance and drive profitability.

As a specialist recruitment agency, we are partnering with this innovative firm to identify a talented individual with a strong quantitative background, a deep understanding of crypto markets, and a proven track record in algorithmic trading and arbitrage strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize algorithmic trading strategies for crypto market making, OTC trading, and arbitrage opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze market data, liquidity, and price movements to identify profitable trading opportunities.
  • Build and maintain quantitative models to support trading decisions, risk management, and portfolio optimization.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to enhance trading infrastructure, execution algorithms, and data pipelines.
  • Conduct backtesting and simulation of trading strategies to evaluate performance and robustness.
  • Manage risk exposure and ensure compliance with the firms risk management policies.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in the crypto space.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve trading strategies and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in quantitative trading, preferably within crypto, FX, or equities markets.
  • Strong knowledge of crypto markets, including OTC trading, arbitrage strategies, and market microstructure.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java for quantitative analysis and algorithmic trading.
  • Experience with data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning techniques.
  • Familiarity with trading platforms, APIs, and market data feeds (e.g., WebSocket, FIX protocol).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
