Project Controls Engineer
Location: UK or Europe-based (with flexibility to work across multiple project locations)

A leading design, construction, and engineering provider is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to support the successful delivery of some of the most complex and high-profile projects in the industry. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for data, digital systems, and performance optimisation who wants to work on challenging programmes within a collaborative, people-first environment.
Role Overview
As a Project Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and improving project performance reporting, data integrity, and forecasting processes. You’ll collaborate with project managers, commercial teams, and planners to ensure real-time visibility across cost, schedule, and resource metrics.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain project controls systems and ensure high-quality, timely reporting.
Analyse and validate progress data from construction and preconstruction phases.
Identify manual processes and design digital automation solutions to improve efficiency.
Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI.
Work closely with stakeholders to extract, interpret, and reconcile data from various platforms (e.g. Primavera P6, SharePoint, PowerApps).
Support internal teams and subcontractors with training on reporting tools and standards.
Proactively identify data discrepancies and escalate key issues for resolution. Experience & Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Data Science, or a relevant discipline.
Project management or project controls experience within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
Proficient in Power BI, with working knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform.
Familiarity with Primavera P6 and programme-related data reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working within data centre, defence, pharmaceutical, or complex commercial environments is preferred. What’s on Offer
