As a Program Execution Lead, you will work closely with the science team to manage priority projects, such as the "Golden use-cases" within data42, a leading data analytics platform for Novartis research and development. You will be a key member of the operations team, establishing best practices for impactful use cases. Your responsibilities include overseeing, coordinating, and monitoring activities to generate valuable business insights.

This role will also encompass extensive stakeholder management, facilitating collaborations within the company and driving projects aimed at serving a wide customer base within Novartis.

As a leader within data42, you will be required to contribute to the continuous evolution of the data42 team by being an enthusiastic, cooperative and collaborative team player as well as a mentor to junior members. About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the science delivery team to ensure operational management of priority projects, such as “Golden use-cases” within data42 - an industry-leading data analytics platform for Novartis research and development.
  • Be a critical member of an operations team building expertise to codify repeatable best practices related to achieving these highly impactful use cases.
  • Providing project oversight including, coordination and monitoring of key activities performed by data42 teams and business stakeholders to identify, ingest, unify, transform and analyze data to generate valuable business insights in a documented and reproducible way.
  • Collaborating very closely with the scientific lead accountable for the disease area of the project.
  • Fully responsible for successful project delivery, monitoring and tracking, managing the projects from startup to completion.
  • Planning and organizing the project. Setting priorities, managing risks for the project, and providing status reports to management.
  • Ensuring quality standards including documentation, reusability and continuous improvements of deliverables for future projects (templates) with adherence to data42 governance.
  • Leading teams of diverse backgrounds to achieve a common project goal.
  • Ensuring consistent link between all platform teams – operations, data, and technology.
  • Creating transparency, surfacing bottlenecks, and communicating learnings to other teams and team members.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in project/program management in a dynamic and complex environment, including experience working with technology, data engineering and data science teams.
  • 5+ years life science or healthcare experience.
  • 3+ years of cross-/multi-functional leadership experience with demonstrated capability to build relationships and successfully communicate with business leaders and team members.
  • Solid toolkit knowledge for product leadership that includes an understanding of Agile and Lean methodologies, and OKRs.
  • Medical knowledge to understand the key scientific question & challenge business owners for in-depth and hypothesis validation.
  • Deep understanding of users and state-of-the-art technology options.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM).
  • Proficiency in English (written & oral).
  • A Master’s degree in business administration.
  • Drug discovery and/or development experience.
  • Experience of delivery through Agile and/or Lean methodologies.
  • Experience working on innovation, startups or digital/tech.
