The Product & Data Engineering team is responsible forend-to-end development for Disney’s world-class consumer-facingproducts, including streaming platforms Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+,and digital products & experiences across ESPN, Marvel, DisneyStudios, NatGeo, and ABC News. The team drives innovation at scalefor millions of consumers around the world across Apple, Android,Smart TVs, game consoles, and the web, with our platforms poweringcore experiences like personalization, search, messaging and data.Reporting to the manager of Release Management within Product &Data Engineering, the Lead Release Analyst will introduceprocedural excellence and drive the release management strategy forDE&E Tech globally. This person will partner with leaders todevelop annual release forecasting plans and will track executionprogress against those plans. They will also partner with keyfinancial leaders within our segment to enable seamless deploymentof projects and execution of strategies. This person will developinterdepartmental onboarding programs and lead discipline-wideupskilling sessions to ensure release and deployment seamlessnessacross all technology studios and initiatives. What You Will Do: *Responsible for supporting release strategy, developing releaseplans, schedules, processes, and documentation in collaborationwith cross-functional teams. Dive deep into technical systems totriage SW Release risks and issues found, take necessary actions tomitigate them and stay connected to the details to help make theright release tradeoffs. * Develop and enhance program and releasecriteria, driving release quality metrics and improvements. *Create, maintain, and communicate program release progress andupdates to all stakeholders. * Serve as an integrator on a widevariety of initiatives to advance segment operations and maximizethe overall effectiveness of Product Design, Program Management,and Software Engineering. * Liaison with Product & TechnicalDirectors for ongoing annual strategic forecasting of ReleaseManagement, standardizing workflows and onboarding practices, andensure web & mobile deliverables meet strategic objectivesacross all major app platforms. * Provide data-driven, proceduralsolutions to drive intelligence on the health of our services,deployments, and releases. * Facilitate agile methodologies andintroduce Engineering-driven problem-solving sessions (e.g. MonthlyInnovation Friday) to encourage creativity & synthesis. *Establish clear internal communication hierarchies,systems/templates for inter-departmental procedural clarity. *Tactical and strategic/ad-hoc analysis across several differentbusiness units. * Develop internal training sessions, manage, andmaintain onboarding practices to enrich the skill sets of all newhires. * Mentor team members of all disciplines to ensure technicaland delivery quality. What You Will Bring: Basic Qualifications *Minimum of 7+ years of related experience. * Bachelor’s degree inBusiness Management or IT, or comparable field of study, and/orequivalent work experience. * Experience in release management andknowledge of app/web platforms (i.e., iOS, Android, App Store, PlayStore). * Experience in agile software development methodologies. *Superb organization, detail-orientation, and project managementskills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and balanceshort and long-term work streams. * Highly effective oral andwritten communication skills, ability to develop beneficialrelationships and networks in order to achieve results. * Strongpresentation and design skills; experience with Keynote, PowerPointand internal collaboration sites (e.g. Confluence, Box, Office365,Slack, MS Teams etc.). * Ability to flex and pivot quickly based onpriority shifts and/or changes in workstreams. * Proven experiencein influencing business and technology leadership to drive positivelasting outcomes. * Solid understanding of program and projectmanagement principles. * Strong situational analysis anddecision-making abilities. Preferred Qualifications * Familiaritywith corporate accounting software such as SAP, and presentationsoftware such as Keynote is a plus. * F&A experience forcapital planning and project planning. * Experience with Airtableand Jira. * Understanding of Disney existing procedures andcorporate culture, a plus. #DISNEYTECH The hiring range for thisposition in Seattle, Washington and New York, New York is $159,500- $213,900 per year, in Glendale, California is $152,200 - $204,100per year, and in San Francisco, California is $166,800 - $223,600.The base pay actually offered will take into account internalequity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographicregion, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among otherfactors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be providedas part of the compensation package, in addition to the full rangeof medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on thelevel and position offered.
