Senior Data Analyst / Data Manager

Fast-Growth Consumer Subscription Brand – Hybrid (Greater London Office, 3 Days a Week)

A fast-moving consumer business in the

prize competition and subscription entertainment

space is looking to bring data in-house for the first time, hiring a commercially-minded Senior Analyst to build out core infrastructure and provide insight to marketing, product, and leadership teams.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys full-stack analytics — from data warehousing and ETL to stakeholder insight and dashboarding.

The Business
The company operates a

free-to-enter prize model

combining soft gaming mechanics with tiered subscription products.
Subscription model

includes monthly prizes, brand vouchers, VIP experiences, and cinema perks
Operates at the edge of regulated lottery/gaming, but maintains a clean, entertainment-first positioning
Rapid growth planned for 2024 — scaling from 10 to 50 employees
Strategic B2B partnerships with major UK brands (Vodafone, RAC, Telegram)
Currently UK-focused, with expansion into Brazil launching via local operating partner

This is a fast-paced,

data-reliant environment , with performance marketing, paid media, and partner engagement all underpinned by analytics.

The Opportunity
Until now, data has been managed by offshore consultants — too slow for a business growing this fast. This new hire will be the first

in-house data lead , with ownership of tooling, infrastructure, and day-to-day analytics delivery.
You’ll be a core member of the central team, working across functions (product, tech, marketing) to deliver insight that drives commercial performance.

Core Responsibilities:
Build and manage a

centralised data warehouse

(likely BigQuery)
Develop

ETL processes

and ensure clean, reliable data flows
Own and evolve dashboarding in

Looker Studio
Deliver regular and ad hoc insights to key stakeholders:
Head of Marketing (campaign performance, funnel analysis)
CTO (platform/product usage)
Head of Product (feature usage, behavioural analytics)
Manage incoming data requests, helping prioritise and triage business needs
Conduct data audits and shape long-term data strategy
Proactively surface insights to unlock customer value and optimise acquisition/retention
Be comfortable

fighting fires

and responding quickly in a fast-growth environment

Tech Stack
SQL

(core skill)
Looker Studio

(preferred)
BigQuery
Early-stage data tooling – you'll have influence over stack development

Ideal Candidate
3+ years’ experience in data analytics, ideally with warehousing and ETL exposure
Strong SQL capability
Hands-on experience with Looker Studio or equivalent visualisation tools
Commercial mindset – comfortable translating data into strategic insight
Experience in a performance-led environment: e-commerce, subscription, betting or gaming is a plus
Capable of working autonomously and managing a varied workload
Strong communicator – can work across tech, marketing, and leadership
Happy working in a

hybrid model – 3 days/week onsite in South-East London

This is an opportunity to

build from scratch

and have a tangible impact on the company’s success as it moves from startup to scale-up — with international growth, new products, and increased data demands just around the corner.

How to Find Hidden Data Science Jobs in the UK Using Professional Bodies like the RSS, BCS & More

The data science job market in the UK is thriving—but also increasingly competitive. As organisations in finance, healthcare, retail, government, and tech accelerate digital transformation, the demand for data talent has soared. Yet many of the best data science jobs are never posted publicly. They’re shared behind closed doors—within professional networks, at invite-only events, or through member-only mailing lists and specialist interest groups. These “hidden” roles are often filled through referrals, collaborations, or direct outreach to trusted experts. In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock these hidden opportunities by engaging with key UK professional bodies such as the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT), and Turing Society, plus communities like PyData and AI UK. You’ll learn how to use directories, CPD events, and networks to move beyond job boards—and into roles where you’re approached, not just applying.

How to Get a Better Data Science Job After a Lay-Off or Redundancy

Redundancy can be tough to face, especially in a competitive field like data science. But it’s important to know: your experience, analytical thinking, and modelling skills are still in demand. Across sectors like healthcare, finance, e-commerce, government and AI startups, UK employers continue to seek data scientists who can deliver value through insight, prediction, and automation. This guide will walk you through how to bounce back from redundancy with purpose and clarity—whether you're a data analyst looking to step up, a mid-level data scientist, or a machine learning specialist seeking a better-aligned opportunity.

Data Science Jobs Salary Calculator 2025: Find Out What You Should Earn in the UK

Why last year’s pay survey is already out of date for UK data scientists “Am I being paid enough?” Every data professional eventually asks that question—often after a teammate reveals a hefty counter‑offer, a recruiter shares a six‑figure opening, or a headline trumpets the latest multimillion‑pound AI investment. Yet salary guides published even twelve months ago belong in a museum. Generative‑AI hype re‑priced Machine‑Learning Engineer roles, LLM fine‑tuning turned Prompt Engineering into a genuine career path, & fresh regulation forced companies to hire Responsible‑AI Officers on senior‑scientist money. To cut through the noise, DataScience‑Jobs.co.uk distilled a transparent, three‑factor formula. Insert your role, your region, & your seniority, and you’ll get a realistic 2025 salary benchmark—no stale averages, no vague ranges. This article walks you through the formula, examines the forces pushing data‑science pay ever higher, and offers five concrete actions to boost your market value within ninety days.
