I'm currentlysupporting a Wholesale business to recruit a Procurement Assistant into theirfast paced & busy Buying function. In this role, you'll be managing aportfolio of suppliers and be responsible for the procurement & inventoryof a set amount of SKUs. You're key focus will be fostering strongrelationships with suppliers, manging the purchasing process from cradle tograve and ensure appropriate replenishment whilst minimising overstock.

This is a brilliantopportunity for someone with either 1-2 years of experience in Procurementrelated roles or a good understanding of purchasing in previous positions. Thisorganisation offers further career progression opportunities, CIPS sponsorship andprofessional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain optimal stock levels by ensuring timely replenishment while avoiding excess inventory and shortages.
Ensure data integrity within the stock management system through accurate and consistent updates.
Utilise the MRP system and Excel to interpret forecasting data and purchasing trends
Track and expedite delayed materials, preventing supply chain disruptions.
Negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure competitive pricing without compromising product quality.
Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies promptly and professionally to maintain strong vendor relationships.
Identify and implement efficiencies to reduce the volume of purchase orders and streamline transactions across warehouse and accounts teams.
Develop and apply inventory management strategies that lower stock levels, and enhance supply chain performance
Coordinate closely with the warehouse team to ensure accurate and efficient receipt of goods.
Criteria:

1-2 years of experience in similar Procurement roles
Confident communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
The ability to manage and prioritise a busy work load
Excellent organisational skills and comfortable working to tight deadlines
Knowledge of MRP systems would be desirable
Proficient in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
What's on Offer?

A salary between £28,000 - £30,000
On-site in Central Bristol, Monday - Friday between 8:30 - 17:00
