Salary:A competitive salary from£69,760 - £104,640, depending on the experience you can bring

We are currently hiring for a Principal Data Analytics Engineer to join our team in London. In this role, you will lead our data analytics, visualisation, business intelligence, and AI initiatives. You’ll collaborate with data engineers, analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative, self-service data solutions that drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Mentoring:Guide a team of data analytics and business intelligence engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning through mentoring, code reviews, and structured development. Own the team’s capabilities and outputs.Data Analytics and Visualisation:Leveraging BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and QuickSight, you will design, build, and deliver business dashboards and reports. These information and insights will enable business users to analyze data and make critical, informed strategic and operational business decisions.AI and Machine Learning:You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining machine, deep learning and Large Language Model (LLM) pipelines and infrastructure.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.Best Practices & Quality:Champion coding standards, quality assurance, and automated testing to ensure data reliability and performance.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

Proven experience in a Senior, Lead or Principal Data Analytics or Business Intelligence role, delivering solutions with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight, and applying advanced analytics solutions using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence techniques. Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modelling, and scalable system design in modern cloud environments. Design and delivered self-service business intelligence and advanced analytics solutions for focused business data users. Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform). Deep expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway) or equivalent services in GCP/Azure. Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, DynamoDB, MongoDB). Strong coding practices and experience implementing robust data quality and monitoring frameworks. Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance. Working experience of data governance and managements solutions like Alation, Collibra and AWS DataZone. Demonstrated leadership in mentoring teams and aligning technical solutions with business goals.
