We’re recruiting for a Pricing Performance Data Analyst to join our Retail Annuity business here at L&G.
As a Pricing Performance Data Analyst you will enable the Commercial Pricing team to deliver enhanced pricing decisions based upon improved internal and external data analysis capabilities. You will ensure the stability of self-serve access to both internal and external performance data, analysis and insights and keep evolving these capabilities and data flows, to align with ever evolving business needs.

What you'll be doing:
- Maintaining and developing the existing pricing performance management information enabling users to interact with the analysis and flex the granularity of results.
- Managing the data flows into the pricing management information to ensure it is accessible and accurate for the Pricing team. This includes liaising with our third-party data providers to understand new data available to us and any changes to data requirements.
- Building strong relationships and networks across L&G Retail.
- Supporting the Pricing team to perform data transformation and modelling of data requirements to operationalise pricing insights.
- Supporting the wider team as required on an ad hoc basis, leveraging resource from other teams with the support of senior leadership within the Pricing team.
- Suggesting and implementing process improvements/controls including maintaining clear and relevant documentation pertaining to these improvements.
- Ensuring that pricing analytics and insights discussed are aligned to good customers outcomes.
- Represent the Pricing team on business wide projects relating to the creation and maintenance of the pricing management information, so that the team’s business objectives are achieved.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- A Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary and/or Data Science background, someone with a Degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or similar) OR someone suitably qualified by relevant industry experience in a comparative role.
- Strong knowledge of Python/R coding skills and basic VBA/SQL skills.
- Experience using Artificial Intelligence to improve information management decision making processes.
- Good knowledge of processing data and producing Management Information.
- A basic knowledge/understanding of L&G annuity products.
- Very strong personal planning and organisation skills. With the ability to take ownership and responsibility for work and processes and delivering these to tight timescales.
- Ability to question results for reasonableness and refer to more experienced staff where appropriate.
- Initiative in applying problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels both within and outside the team.
- Ability to draft and maintain appropriate process documentation.
- Ability to guide others through requests for developments.
