Role expectations and responsibilities

As a Performance Marketing Manager at Smarkets, you will be responsible for developing and executing performance-based marketing campaigns that drive clicks, installs and signups to both our Smarkets and SBK products. You’ll form a crucial part of our Marketing team helping execute key campaigns across the sporting calendar.

This is a dynamic role where you will focus on growing our paid social, search and display channels. In the immediate you will manage relationships with existing agency partners, ensuring they deliver against our core KPIs however in the long-term you will lead on the transition of bringing all aspects of the performance marketing mix in-house. With the support of the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for managing the performance budget and you will also work closely with our data analysts to ensure campaigns are as effective as possible.

The ideal candidate is someone who has hands-on experience running paid campaigns, enjoys using marketing tactics creatively to acquire new customers for the business and stays up to date with the latest performance marketing trends.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Manage and grow all paid channels
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and acquisition partners
  • Support the wider marketing team with day-to-day tasks.
  • Report and analyse campaigns measured against specific KPIs using the relevant tools
  • Working closely with the Marketing Director to execute the paid strategy.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years' experience working in a performance marketing role
  • Agency experience preferred but not required
  • Stakeholder management - confident in interacting with senior stakeholders and being a trusted advisor
  • Experience in multi-channel campaign management
  • A strong understanding of ASO
  • Confident in using social ads management tools and other platforms/data to help monitor performance and demonstrate ROI
  • Organised, proactive and driven
  • Be solutions driven, and not afraid to speak up when you see an opportunity for improvement
  • A real team player with strong communication skills
  • A passion for sports and/or the betting industry
